Title: Animations
Post by: Lona on June 25, 2004, 22:27
I can't see any movement on animations. I can see movement on signatures but not on the smileys. I have found this is not just on here but elsewhere as well. Any suggestions how I can correct this. ???

PS Even Bart keeps his trousers up.  ;D

Does that happen in IE as well as Mozilla Lona as it sounds like a Mozilla type of problem  ???

It happens in both. I can see the animation at the bottom of this screen ( smillie face which changes to red lips). Could be this new firewall I have installed. I will keep checking all the different settings to see if there is something I've accidently blocked.
   ???

Has this just started happening without adjusting any settings, Lona?  In Mozilla, there's an option under Edit > Preferences > Privacy & Security > Images (see below), but in IE, I think you can only show images, or not, in which case you get the box with the red x in the middle.

Thanks for that Simon. :) Checked preferences and it looked the same as yours.

I can see the images, it's just that they are not animated.  :(

Did it start happening immediately after installing the new firewall?  I would have thought it unlikely to affect images, but to eliminate it as the cause, how about trying a different one?  I'll probably get the p*** taken out of me, for recommending a good product (funny, I thought that's what we were here for), but this one is very useable...

I think I have solved my problem. Well I hope I have. I had blocked animation in new firewall.

It's strange that I could still see all the movement in the signatures. ???
