Title: A Multimedia Tour of the Solar System.
Post by: chorleydave on August 04, 2004, 23:31
Just been mooching about, trying to find the name of that spacecraft that was launched to visit Mercury, and I found this:

That's a superb site Dave, and I hadn't seen it before.  Bookmarked! The spacecraft is called Messenger, but you know that by now.   8)

Yes, it is a really good site, Clive.  I've been  looking through it all evening, and I recognise  some of the pages, so I think I must have been on sections of it at earlier times, probably clicking on Google searches.

I've also found another, but it doesn't seem to have been updated for some time:

What's nice about http://www.nineplanets.org/  is that every page states when it was last updated.  It's really useful to have that information since new discoveries about these objects are being made all the time.  :)  I hadn't realised you had such an interest in astronomy Dave.  8)

I'm nowhere near as expert as you are, Clive, but I do find space exploration fascinating.   :)
