Title: Roboform
Post by: Barra on September 01, 2004, 10:02
OK, me first. Sorry Joudi, not trying to steal your thunder.

If like me your old grey cells can never remember passwords etc for all the different sites, forums etc that you visit then http://www.roboform.com (http://www.roboform.com) might be useful to you. Unlike Gator this program does not contain any adware, spyware etc. I'd be lost without it

Oh yes!  I've been using roboform for several months and it saves an incredible amount of time doesn't it?

Me too, but only so I don't forget my name and address.  Mozilla handles all my passwords.

Just tried to update my robform.  was directed to CNET as main download site. Apert from a download speed od 2.35 kbs which is unacceptable for a 56k connection let alone the 2mb connection I have, when finally downloaded file was found to be corrupt giving a virus as possible cause. Then went to roboform site and downloaded from their servers @229kbs ( :D) and had no problems with upgrade.

Yeah, CNET's not been too good lately.  The new Ad Aware SE downloads were corrupt from there too.
