Hi all, just got a new psu today, this one has a wire on it, one that looks like a power cable for a cpu fan that goes to the motherbored for power, any idea whats it for?
-
Without seeing it, it is difficult. But my (wild) guess is that it could be a Serial ATA connector :-\
-
Could it not be the extra +12v connector for a P4 mobo possibly ???
-
The cable is identical to the one that would run of the Heatink + fan, to ya motherbored. small thin wire, with a plug u would fit to the motherbored to power he fan. Just i got one on pus, no idea what its for :s

Some new models of computers have an extra Fan fixed on the center of the large side of the case. have a look here. Most of them do have:

Couldn't it be for that fan? :-\
