Post by: joudi on September 28, 2004, 03:06
To uninstall Windows Messenger, Version 4.7, from Windows XP:

1. Close all application that link to Windows Messenger.

2. Open a CMD.EXE prompt.

3. Type the following command and press Enter:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %SystemRoot%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

4. If all applications that link to Windows Messenger were closed, a restart is NOT required, but better to restart anyway.
