Title: asf files in powerdirector
Post by: princeofdarkness on October 28, 2004, 14:08
hi, i recently got power director 2.55 to edit skating footage but the program does not seem to work with asf files, i have tried using a convertor but it didnt work, and as the digital camcorder being used makes asf files it would be useful to be able to edit them... any suggestions?

thnx in advance Jonah

I cant find which audio formats v2.55 supports but according to cynerlinks site V 3 supports asf.
Can you upgrade to V 3  ???

Jon ... try This (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/format/ASFViewer.aspx) to check if your AVF files are corrupt  ;)

Does it say which files your version supports in the help files ?
ASF has been around a while now so it possibly should accept them, if not you can see which format you need to convert to  :)
