Title: Router and x box live
Post by: speaseski on January 29, 2005, 14:46
Hello. How is everyone? This is my first time here. Here is my problem. I have a Linksys wireless broadband router. I have my one computer and X box wired to ports 1 & 2. I also have a computer in another room that is wireless. When my son is on x box live, I cannot get on line with my wired computer. It starts to load but it does'nt get there. Any ideas on this? Thank you.

Hi Speaseski and :welcome:

Does your wired pc go on line ok if the X box is off line ?
It sounds as if the router isnt assigning an IP address properly to your pc for some reason.
Have you checked that its assigned an IP in the range that the router operates in and not just the default LAN one ?
To check this go into Network Conections and see if it says IP assigned by DHCP or something else.
