Title: dvd drive

Just tried to play a dvd,havent played 1 on this laptop since re booting with xp..using media player 10..it says: CODD116A UNABLE TO PLAY DVD YOU MUST HAVE A DVD DRIVE AND DVD DRIVE SOFTWARE?????ANY IDEAS THANX

Hi postman4772 and     :welcome:

If it tells you that:   Is your drive a DVD drive, or only CD grive?

If it's only a CD drive, that message is very normal.

Also, even if it's a DVD drive, your laptop needs naturally a DVD player software to be able to play the DVD.    :)

ITS A DVD DRIVE,IT DID WORK ON MY OTHER LAPTOP....WHERE CAN I GET THE SOFTWARE FOR IT??
