I just bought the pc game Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban for my son. I have all the requirements for the game. After I install the game and he goes to play the game it says video hardware does not meet requirements. I know I meet all the requirements. I have askef everywhere for some help but no one seems to know. Can someone please help me.. I know nothing about computers and my son is going to kill me soon lol.. thanks

Hi MystikalAngel :welcome: Im afraid I'm not a games guru but I'm sure some of the techies here will be able to shed some light on your problem shortly.
Just out of interest, what operating system are you using? and do you know how much memory the PC has?

From the error message you are getting, it does sound like your graphics card doesn't meet the requirements of the game. How old is the PC, and do you know if it has a separate graphics card, or does it have on board (the motherboard) graphics? It may be that you just need to update the graphics drivers, or you may have to consider upgrading your graphics card.

or there might be a patch for the game... have a look on the games website.

That could well be the problem, your card might not be capable of playing 3D features on the game
Uninstall game and re-install using custom install, leaving out 3D part. :)

from what you have said it should work.
try the game's site: http://harrypotter.ea.com/hppoa/flash_en_GB.html - though you need to have bloody flash installed for it to work! EA making a mistake there.

I went there.. I did everything but nothing. then I check to see if my video card needs an update... its the latest.. so now what... boy i never knew ea games tech support would be this bad lol

EA tech support, from my experience, is usually excellent. Have you contacted them? You never know you could just have a damaged disc - I do doubt this though. What are you full specs of your machine (i.e. processor speed, RAM and video memory). Also you might need to update the version of directx. Have you installed all the latest windows updates (I am sure this is not entirely neccesary though). To get the latest version of directx go to: www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/downloads/default.asp
