m$ knowledge base wasnt too helpful, so if anyone is familiar with these beasties.....
Do SATA motherboards also have IDE connectors to run both types of drive simultaneously ?
I've read that to install a SATA drive you need to load some drivers....so next question is what if the pc doesnt have a floppy drive. ?
i'm thinking of getting a new pc in the nearish future and cant decide whether to stick with the IDE devil i know :roll:

I have only seen SATA with IDE mobos Dave, although newer ones may go just to SATA exclusively.
I would have thought that XP, especially with SP2 should have the drivers for SATA already but I havent tried one yet :)
