If the answer is yes then you must join http://www.ffoc.co.uk they are a real friendly bunch.
And I told them about our web site, and how freindly you all are.......don't worry I also told them your all completley nuts, so just act normal if any of them pay us a visit.
Course I gave Sandra a special mention seeing as she is our star fixer, and besides she will be doing most of the work .............Simon you got a mention to ...only because we are related .......but I already told em I'm the good looking Chuckle Brother so they could tell us apart  :scoot:
So Clive please try and keep off the sheep for at least the next couple of days........and Joudi, no bible readings till after Lent  yes I do realise its the best part of a year off
Serenity,
be a love get your nurses uniform out :boobies: and have plenty lotion on hand  because I reckon if any are daft enough to pay us lot a visit ...........well they are probably in need of medical attention, or at the very least Psychological profiling. I take it you did stay awake during that course, or were you only interested in the "hands on " healing

You must be joking, the Focus 1.8 Zetec is a drivers car..........OK, I don't take risks....if I cannot see my exit I don't make an entry [overtaking wise] but that said, I don't hang about. And remember, if you come out of a corner slower than you went into it.......your probably a women driver.
Brakes are for avoiding idiots who have not got a clue how to drive, proper drivers use their gears. I love going through the box when approaching rounderbouts. Whilst at the same time watching " boy/girl racers" stuffing power into the drive wheels, only to get shut of it on their brake pads. 40 years of driving excellence, the road is like a book, you gotta read it. Never had a point on my licence, nor an accident down to me......sh*t I hope I don't live to regret saying that.
get some spirit in you man, ditch the focus and grab yourself a nifty 2 seater before you hit the skids :boogie: :boogie:
When me and the wife think of MG 2 seaters.....we think of an 82 year old called Arthur, a lovely old guy always sported a cravat. He used to come to our pub, we had sleepping police men at the entrances. Arthur used to overshoot it and nearly go out the car park by the rear entrance. He used to go down to Birmingham [bearing in mind he lived near Hull] every time he needed his licence renewed, as he obviously knew a doctor as dotting as himself. who would give him the OK.
We had another old retired Bank Manager and his wife who dined with use at least three times a week. He also struggled with the sleeping policemen. No clucth and loads of accelerater .....then take off. They had a little dog in the back seat, I swear it had developed cats claws so it could hang on to the seat back . He used to come in muttering......" all the sons of bitches are on the roads today"........we used to have visions of everybody going all over the place, just to get out of their way....... :scoot:
Another old dear used to drive from the next village 6 miles away, but had to have the barstaff read out the menu for her. She said if it ever got to her needing glass'es she'd have to stop coming...........ah happy days.

Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec as well Tony..just modified mine with Lexus lights all round..so no orange bits ..inidcators etc..and by ferk does it shift, as you say a drivers car by far 8) the side lights when switched on are blue and the interia light is a fluro blue as well.

Yer I must admit its a nipper little begger and it fair hugs the road, nice and tight in the corners and on roundabouts.
Well I might have guessed [going by you PC Tower] that you would mod it up........Anyway I heard Simon is thinking of getting a Focus and modding it up for when he goes cruising on a weekend  ......so come on lets have some piccies....................mines just bog standared, in Moondust Silver.......I like the colour....but boy they are as common as muck on the roads........quite like it in the darker green as well..........
PS: Simon sez he's even thinking of setting up a FOF [ Focus Owners Forum] here on PC-Pals. Coz he's very busy, and not got the time to waltz around the web looking for Focus related news.

His Lordship has a 5 door Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec. It rarely goes above 30 mph, though, because we usually have dogs in the back and they don't like it if we take corners at speed. So we trundle along sedately, almost soporifically, trying our best to slow down through the gears rather than using brakes.
If you ever find yourself on a country road in Worcestershire stuck behind a silver Focus with an alsation and two chihuahuas peering at you through the rear window, it's probably us. Don't bother tooting or flashing your headlights at us - we won't respond :P 8) .

Magic, I'm just picturing you all toddling along, with Bev up your arse in her MG. :tony:
We had a Nissan sunny once with electric windows all round. And our German Sheperd used to winge it you closed his windows. He even used to have a go at opening them himself. In the end he nackered the windows with all his slaver rusting the winding cables.

Just checked out your Ford Focus site, Tony and it's down due to hackers. :D
I hate Ford Focus BTW. Most people I see who drives them are of the Victor Meldrew type.
Oh and I notice you didn't mention your favourite pensioner to your cronies.
No more Billy Fury for you then. :bartmoon:

I can't get that excited over "any" car cammy [I've never bought a new car in my life].........But that said, I do research cars prior to replacing them. Because although I tend to run em till they drop, I do keep them in good serviceable condition. So any make of car that is considered prone to expensive repairs, servicing, or replacement costs, I tend to avoid.
I avoid French and Italian cars, nice though they may look........as aftercar can be expensive. And I refuse to pay through the nose purely because a car has "image" when that image is not backed up by the reality of ownership.
I'm basically an A to B person, so to summerise my purchasing criteria: value for money, reliability, a good drive, good road holding, and abit of power on tap for when you need it.
For instance the Wife fancied a little Volkswagen Polo 1.4 Match 5dr. I saw one advertised in a local garage.....so I down loaded the "Parkers Car Report" for that model and year. It had 8/10 stars on the overall report "summary" now thats a very good score. The Ford 1.8i Zetec 5dr "summary" also got 8/10 stars
But when you look at the section "User Ratings" reviews for both cars from the people who actually buy and run em...its has some very interesting conclusions.
Scoring is 1 up to 5 stars for each of 9 sub headings......here are the results, compared to the model / year of the Focus I purchased.
Volkswagon Polo Ford Focus
Comfort.............. 4 stars......................................4 stars
Driving............... 3 stars..................................... 5 stars
Security............. 3 stars..................................... 4 stars
Value................. 3 stars..................................... 4 stars
Performance...... 2 stars..................................... 4 stars
Costs................. 1 star...................................... 3 stars
Service.............. 1 star...................................... 3 stars
Reliability........... 1 star...................................... 4 stars
IMAGE............... 5 star...................................... 4 stars
What amazes me is that a car that only gains 1 star on Costs, Service and Reliability still gets 5 stars for image. That to me signifies the power of adverising [ brainwashing] over the reality of ownership.................
Image it would appear is everything in this consumer enslave society of ours.........
Edit: That said, everybody has the right to spend their own money how they want to. Be it buying a Beamer, or modding up their Focus...................... or spending over £3.5K a year.........year after year on ciggies....
-
gimme the ciggies every time, Tony.
Who would want to be seen in a Ford Focus. It's an old man's car. :D
-
Old men?
