Hi All,
I have a large WMV file that I would like to edit down (cut bits out) and also put it on my own personal site to download.
Whats the best overall format for the video to be converted to and any recommendations of free software that would allow me to edit the wmv file? (or maybe I'm best converting it first).
One more thing - are all converters in real time or can you get software that will convert it much quicker?
Thanks
DJ

The best avi converter I have used is Winavi Converter, not free but very quick, much quicker than real time for most formats to formats.

The best editor is however a free one :)
Do a search for Virtual Dub or one of its variants such as Nan Dub or Virtual Dub Mod.

Cheers Sandra!
Will have a look at these later and let you know if I have any problems

As Sandra said Virtual Dub is free and does the job.
It was the only software that would correct a digital camera video shot 90 degrees out. All the others including payed for programes distorted the image.
