It always happens to me!
Right .......... I have an HP2200 pocket pc - and it appears that I have corrupted my 256mb sd card!? Dunno how or why (could have been left on and battery run out :? ) but I now have several files on it with all odd files names squares and things - by the sizes of them it looks like the files are still there but I cannot do anything with them.
the card still works - I put some new stuff on it and the pda reads them and so does the pc.
Most of this stuff is backedup on pc so not a huge problem but I wonder if the corrupt files can be fixed.
I've tried a soft reset and chkdsk /I but still the same.
Also if I can't "upcorrupt" the files would it be okay to just delete them?
Any ideas please guys :)

You could try various recovery programs that may recover some of the files but if theyre not that important I would be tempted to just format the card Michelle.
That should restore the card to its original state and make it fully usable again :)

I might just try a recovery programme just to make sure ...... I did see one that had a trial but the trial was only to see if you had any recoverable files and you had to pay to recover them! lol Of course it said I had loads of recoverable files.
Any suggestions which programme or any will do.
I read you have to format it in FAT32 is that right?
Thanks sandra :-)

Depends which OS your pocket pc uses Michelle.
The best file recovery program that I have found is File Scavenger, even Serenity managed to recover some lost files with it so its blonde friendly :P
You have mail by the way

Had the same problem with my SD card for the Camera... after several different attempts to overcome this problem, found the easiest sollution was to reformat the disc if thats at all possible
