Well it may be an unknown brand but at least it is branded.

Probably worth a bid if you can get it at a cheap enough price.
I assume that youre thinking of it for Mistybears PB pc ?

For her son's Medion. Her PB probably uses PC100 or PC133 SDRAM.

Price is about two thirds of the Crucial price.

From searching for info on VDATA it appears to be made by ADATA.
According to the ADATA website they are one of the top memory manufacturers (their words) and seem like they should be ok.

I emailed the seller on eBay, and gave them the details of what is already is in the Medion, and asked if they thought it would be compatable.

Samsung M368L3223 FTN-CCC
2x256MB
DDR SDRAM
PC3200 (200MHz)
64bit
Memory Timings:
@ 200MHz    3.0-3-3-8
@ 166MHz    2.5-3-3-7

I was waiting on the seller to post 2x256MB, which he says he would in a few days. I thought 2x512MB was too much for Michael's needs.
But in the mean time, there were a couple of samsung memory sticks going on another forum. And the owner has generously offered them to me, so some time after easter they should arrive, and we will endeavour to install them. :D  :D  :D

RAM RESEATING & FITTING PDF FILE (http://images.crucial.com/pdf/dimm_install.pdf)

What I do is unplug everything and then hold the power button in for ten seconds whilst touching the bare metal of the cabinet with my free hand. (This is advice from Crucial/Micron) Then I follow the .PDF file laying the cabinet on its side so that you are looking down onto the motherboard, so as to make life easy.

Don't wear nylon or other static producing clothing is the other bit of advice.

You can also make an Earth lead which is a 'normal' power lead but with the red and black wires disconnected inside the plug and cut back so that only the green earth wire is connected to the mains earth circuit.

You might be able to find a green plug so that this cable is readily identified.

Stay away from all capacitors!
