Freddie Garrity, the lead singer of the 1960s pop band Freddie and the Dreamers, has died in hospital.

That's a shame - I used to like him when I was little. Wasn't his career cut short by a scandal? My other half seems to think it was, but I was too young at the time to be aware of such matters.

The only scandal I can think of happened when I saw him playing in a charity football match at Stanley Park, Blackpool. Freddie scored, but was ruled offside, so he dropped his shorts and mooned at the linesman in full view of several thousand spectators. :laugh:
