Saw this remake of one of the classic 'video nasties' the other night, and enjoyed it much more than I remember enjoying the original.  This is about a family who get stranded in the desert, and end up being hunted down by the goulish inhabitants of a 'nuclear' village.  Some of the opening scenes are genuinely quite disturbing.  Again, not one for the squeamish, as there is plenty of gore and intense horror throughout.  The version I saw was the US Unrated version - not sure if the UK edition has cuts.
