Title: I just Installed ZAP on my PC & it's crashed !!

Anyone know how I can remove it from the PC ?....Jim

Safe mode?  Before you installed it, did you remove any other anti-virus software already on the PC?

explain what you mean by crashed, how far can you get with windows?

The firewall is almost impossible to uninstall once its on a machine. Thats why I tell people to avoid ZAP. All uninstalling it does is remove the interface so you can't control it at all. So all you see when you try to open a browser is zonealarms emergency lockdown page.

I worked on a machine at the shop for 2 days trying to remove that s**t.

I must have been lucky then, because I have installed and uninstalled ZAP at least twice on my machine, while testing out various security softwares, and I actually found it one of the easiest to install and remove.  Wouldn't recommend it though, as it doesn't integrate well with Mail Washer, and prevents simultaneous checking of multiple mail accounts.  It also has a habit of locking down your PC for no apparent reason, in my experience.

I have yried ZAP and outpost they both are very hard to get rid of
i still have outpost on my computer after installing and uninstalling several times

I still can't get my email notifier to work, and I tried CheckP3 :shock: obviously for experienced users. Then I tried E-Mail Checker, I really can't remember what the problem was, probably same thing, then E-Prompter.
Couldn't get any of them to work.:?

yay!! beyond caring is where I end up with most pc endeavours... then I realise I was better with it as it was before anyway!
