another reason to have a play with Google Earth

is it a waste of time using Google Earth with dialup or do i need faster internet?

well its a program you download and install.. so you can probably choose what you download but on their specs it says:
Minimum configuration for PC:
* Operating System: Windows 2000 or Windows XP
* CPU: Pentium 3, 500Mhz
