Microsoft has said it will be a challenge to convince some consumers to buy its new version of Office.

at least they are embracing open source in their file format.

Don't they think the price might be a factor?  Office 2003 is still retailing at anywhere between £300 and £400 depending on the version you purchase, or around £200 for an OEM version, so heaven knows what Office 2007 will cost.

Edit: Just found Office 2003 OEM on Ebuyer for just over £110, which is still bloody expensive.

and open office is how much?? oh wait thats £0... who would pay that much for it? :dunno:
