Title: Sky+ subscription to be scrapped?
Post by: Clive on January 27, 2007, 22:12: If rumours are to be believed, the £10 subscription to Sky+ is to be dropped next month.

The Sky+ service is Sky's personal video recorder which allows the user to record, pause and instantly rewind live TV.

Currently customers are required to subscribe to 2 or more premium channels otherwise there is a £10 subscription in addition to the monthly Sky subscription.

However if the rumours are to be believed, from 12th February, Sky+ features like pause and rewind live TV will be free.

This can only be good news for consumers as other PVR providers such as Virgin Media may also follow suit to attract more customers.

There is no official word from Sky as yet on this rumour.

I don't pay the £10 subscription, Clive. If you have sky full package it's free.
