I'm quite happy with Google as a search engine, and the Maps facility is also handy at times, but I think that the quantity of personal data all of it's ever increasing amount of facilities can store, if users allow it to, is frightening, particularly as many users may not even realise that their data is being kept.  For example, does everyone who uses Google Mail know that it reads your emails, scanning for content with which to target you with advertising?

id hope they did.... you know what, the government can intercept your mail... so f*** it - let google do it as well, at least they are making your life easier to a point.... or maybe thats the lazy approach, oh well.
