can i hide my ip, so that i can download many times on rapidshare, and for other purposes... =)
-
I think that there are some programs that allow you to bypass the bit that recognises your IP on rapidshare if you Google for them.
Failing that, if you have a dynamic IP, then just logging off and back on again will change your IP address.
-
As well as what Sandra said, clearing your cookies when logging off and on again will also help.

I think you can get what is called a proxy server which means you are accessing websites via a third party and cannot be traced. Whether or not they charge for the service I don't know.

I think anyone using cable broadband uses a proxy server Clive, I don't think it gives any degree of invisibility :dunno:

Apparently Anonymizer is the answer according to a quick Google search.

there is also something called the cloak.. but you really dont hide your ip address... well not to everyone anyway..
-
Besides, if you could hide your IP completely, most websites, including RapidShare, wouldn't work anyway.
