Dame Shirley Bassey has sung some brilliant tunes in her 70 years on the planet. Some fans believe that the themes to Goldfinger and Diamonds are Forever define "Bond" more than any single actor in the role. She's covered the Doors and performed with dance acts like The Propellerheads. Now she's gone and redone Pink's "Get This Party Started" in glorious style.
This was the theme for last year's M&S Christmas advert.

WOW......... God she's amazing.
I heard a re-mix of a song she did with someone, not sure who now, and it was a while ago. I loved it, but couldn't find out any information on it, must have another dig around.
I'm a huge fan of hers, so thankyou Clive............. simply wonderful.

I have to admit, the 'Party' single is very good. She has an immensely powerful voice. A school friend of mine, who was a trainee mechanic at the time, once serviced her car!

That's a little further back than I meant Lona, but thankyou.........I did find a few others, and search a certain site for remixes. And she is releasing a new album on the 27th. Click on "more" for the details.

And I had a look for another old favourite of mine, Eartha Kitt.

Is Eartha Kitt still alive?
I saw her live at Glasgow Empire way back in the 50's. She was outstanding as a live performer. :)

Yes, she's turned 80 Lona. I saw her at a local dance hall in the 70's.
