Hiii, more then likely a simple answer to this lol, my start menu seems to be locked? I can't right click it, go to properties or pin to etc.. Kinda annoying me, it happened before and i never solved it. Thx in advance.
-
Cant think whats caused it but can you use the Windows key to open the start menu ?
Or do you mean you can open it but not do anything after that ?
-
or you mean you can't edit it?
-
Sorry ::) I meant it pop's up but i can't do nothing with, edit etc :dunno:
-
That sounds odd. Can you tell us what you want to do with it?
-
Pin stuff to it for one :P
-
so what happens if you right click on one of the icons in it?
are you using xp?

Absolutely nothing happens, yup XP, i can't even drag the icons :(
-
OK, try this - Right click the Start button > Properties > Customize > Advanced (tab), then check that "Enable dragging and dropping" is ticked.

lol awesome that sorted it! no idea how it got unticked though? I'd imagine remembering doing such a process.
-
Glad it's sorted! If it happens again, it might be worth checking for viruses / spyware, unless someone else has access to the PC, and could have been fiddling about.
-
... which includes fidling by accident I guess...
-
I don't fiddle :P if it ain't broke, don't fix it
