My brother use to be big into the bulletin boards. Sometimes i think i missed the party. People seemed to have more fun back then.

Yes, I was heavily into bulletin boards too Bob.  Only problem was that in those days my modem speed was 14.4 Kb/sec on National call rates!  Still, it was my first taste of being online.   8-)

... i just have grown up with it being in constant use.. I can't think of a time when it hasn't been around... oh well, you guys are old. lol :-)

My first PC was a 386 running at 16MHz.  That sported a 9.6K modem but it was so slow as to be virtually unusable.  The national call rates made it too prohibitive to use at that speed!  Even I don't remember 300 baud!!  :woot:
