Misco have the Sandisk range:
http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=2647&
1GB - £6.99, 2GB - £10.99, 4GB - £19.99. They also have a no-name 8GB model at £39.99.
I've also found PNY to be OK, but Toshiba to be slow.
-
thanks Rik will take a look at those.
what you reckon on this http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=101137.
-
It ought to be OK, Samsung make a lot of the chips other people use anyway (not to mention TFT panels). 7DayShop is OK as a supplier but delivery can be a bit slow.

Hi! ermmm!!
Long time no see!
 Mo (Pimp)

If you like running stuff from the jumpdrive, look at this (http://www.u3.com/) one. Normally I would just go down to the local department store and pick up a 512 3 pack for $25. Unless your really looking for massive storage or plug and run applications the cheap sticks are all you need.

Hi Mo
Nice to see you here too. If we cross paths a couple of times more, we can knit a cat's cradle. ;)

hope you're keeping well. hold on a bit though.....you got me cracking up a bit now, havent you been in over at FF lately?
@ Bob. thanks for the link. have seen a few using that U3 now. What they like? can you take the U3 off?
-

No, I haven't visited FF much in the last few months ermmm.
It seems to have lost the old relaxed fun we had there when we started it.
Do you remember that Xmas when I played Santa Claus, trying to get down your blocked chimney?
And you played up to it!
I haven't laughed as much before or since!!
Seems to be only a few people all taking themselves too seriously and trying to impress, these days.
But I still look in now and again.
@ Rik Bean; :chub: Look m8, I know I'm gettin' old, but I am alright on my own, really!!
Whaddya think of Simons forum then? Good innit?
Mo ;D

Hi Mo! :D
I share your views on the FF forums about people taking things too seriously, especially since I didn't join the ISP, and it's one reason why I'm very glad I chose IDNet. :)
Nice to see you both here. PC Pals is turning into an interforum gateway! ;D
-
I certainly do remember it Santa ;D ;D ;D ;D blimey seems like ages ago.
bet people thought we were mad :) isnt it weird though how people 'meet up' in different ways on t'internet.. of all the forums/sites to visit you find someone you have 'met' before on another. its like when I 'invited' myself ;) here from a link by Simon, after a few days some of the names looked familiar then Simon pointed out that they were from the old forum and that I used to go in too.........amazing
talking of xmas I saw a local shop with some selection boxes in t'other day :o :o :o HAVENT EVEN GOT PASSED HALLOWEEN YET!!!!!!!!!!!
HAPPY XMAS ALL :woot: :woot: :xmas:

:aarrgh: That's almost worth a ban!! ;D ;D :merry:
Yeah, I know what you mean, Baz. I only ever posted in that one thread, so I didn't get a proper feel for it, but it did seem to turn slightly cold when I announced I wasn't joining. :(
-
ALMOST?????? what do I have to do to get one then ;D
joke!
yeah they're a bit funny some of them but you should have heard what they said about you when you had gone :o :o jeezz.
;D ;D ;D ;D another joke Simon.
I might actually promote the :merry: this year. its far too commercial. HUMBUG!!!
-
Bah! Humbug even! ;D

I don't know. I don't see why not. But the special software is what your paying for when you buy one. If you didn't want the software get a generic stick at the store.
What are the FF forums?
-
What are the FF forums?
Firefly Internet.
-
yeah sorry Bob, FF is the forums of the ISP I am with, Firefly Internet, as Simon mentioned. Mohux is there too if I am correct and Simon very nearly joined but managed to escape at the last minute :)
should have mentioned it at the beginning as sometimes people think it means Firefox.
-
Whaddya think of Simons forum then? Good innit?
Yup.
-
Except, it's not 'my' forum. It belongs to all of us. :)
-
In that case, please move out of my bit, you're messing up the carpet. :P
-
Oh, it's well worn already, Rik. ;)
-
What, you didn't lay the new shag pile I ordered?? ;D
-
I would have but Clive cut a hole in it to use as a wig!
-
Pot, Black, Calling, Kettle, the. Rearrange these words!
-
I know, but I said it first! :wahh:
-
Grow a beard and pull your bottom lip over your head. The pain goes away after a week or two. ;)
-
Good idea, Rik! ;D By the way, the old 'glasses disguise' trick hasn't worked. We know who you really are.
