Title: Search Engine in IE
Post by: Delgado on December 14, 2007, 07:32
Anyone else had this problem?

My search engine default is constantly returning to Live Search in IE7.

Im constantly resetting it to Google as the Default, but after a reboot it resets itself. Only been happening lateley. Could this be another attempt by Microsoft to control again?

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL ALSO!

Hi,

I dont know exactly but if you say you keep changing it back to Google, is that from the 'search' side bar that opens then 'customize', I would guess it might be a registry change what you need to do.

do a google and find what you need to change. (no pun meant there :D :D)

some one else will be able to help you better than me

If you use adaware, after running it, it automatically puts in msn search page.  You have to go into options on adaware and set google as your default browser.

Thanks for replies-

Lona, I dont use Adaware, but maybe CCleaner could be the prob.
Reno, I have been trying McAfee Internet Security, maybe thats the cause.

Anyway, Ive now taken out McAfee, and will see how it goes.

Simon could be right!  Firefox may be the way to go!!!!

Talk about a mess-they block up against security risks, and ruin everything else!!!!
