is it possible to download just a song/tune some one has with a video from the likes of youtube or myspace etc.
-
People do upload music files for download on myspace, but I don't think you can download from youtube.

You can certainly get plug-ins for the Firefox browser (and probably for other browsers too) which will capture videos on You Tube etc, but I prefer to use aTube Catcher (http://ytc.dsnetwb.com/video_software_dnt_pay_money/component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,1/lang,english/) which is much more flexible. You should be able to capture a video, then strip the audio from it in a video editor.

Oh well, you live and learn. :) I have to point out, however, that the Terms of Use of YouTube prohibit downloading of material:

YouTube reserves all rights not expressly granted in and to the Website and the Content.
