Title: Mozilla updates eBay add-on
Post by: Clive on March 19, 2008, 19:23
Mozilla has launched version 1.5 of the Firefox Companion for eBay, making trading easier, faster and safer, the company claims.

New features included in the latest version include drag and drop functionality within the eBay Sidebar as well as audio alerts for PCs and growl alerts for Apple.

With the eBay Sidebar surfers receive real-time updates on items traders have bid on, are selling or watching. Status alerts keep bidders informed on auctions, letting them know when they have been outbid.

On the safety side, browsing security has been increased with eBay's Account Guard integration for eBay and PayPal sites and Firefox's built-in anti-phishing protection.

The first version of the Firefox Companion for eBay was launched in May last year.

I haven't used it myself, but thanks for that, Clive.  :thumb:
