I unfortunately deleted the short cut to Solitaire from the desktop and I can't find the program to restore it. I can still start the game from the "run" facility but it would be great to start it from the desktop.
Thanks

Is it not still in Start > All Programs > Games? You could create a desktop shortcut from that.
-
Just right click and click on "create shortcut".
-
No,it isn't in the games list. I did look there first. I have only got a recovery disk for my laptop.

Click on Start/Search and type in "Solitaire". When you find it right click and create shortcut on desktop. ;)

Or, try this:
Bring up your control panel, choose Add/Remove Programs, Click on the Add/Remove Windows Components (it should be a button on the left side of the window), highlight Accessories then click Details. Tick the box next to Games and Click OK or whatever confirm button is there.
That should copy the games to your HD. Might need the Windows XP CD to do it.

Afraid none of the things you all suggested worked. I cheated and downloaded the game.
Thanks anyway
