I thought one magpie was supposed to be unlucky.  One for sorrow, two for joy...

Hadn't heard that one.   :dunno:

Good Pic. gmax.  :D

I have a mother magpie and baby that visit, well the baby magpie comes and forages for food, while mum watches from above. If my cat should venture too close, mum arrives and attacks.
At the moment, as it's winter, we have lots of currawongs. They love the apple cores that I throw on the back lawn, and the cats don't really bother them.

Hadn't heard that one.   :dunno:

One for sorrow
Two for joy
Three for a girl and
Four for a boy
Five for silver
Six for gold
Seven is a secret never to be told
Eight is a wish and
Nine is a kiss
Ten is a bird you must not miss
