A television company has joined forces with a social networking site to send a message to the nearest theoretically inhabitable planet. But can our television and radio broadcasts already be picked up in space?

lol. It will take a very long period of time... also our transmitters aren't really as powerful as they once were. Still though, why not - is a fundamental thing about the Drake equation that we aren't doing ourselves (broadcasting our existence). Thought I'm pretty sure that www.bloginspace.com has been doing this for quite sometime.

I would love it if they were poles...........these are the wrost kind English.....who all speak the same language...begins with B and ends with an S.....If they had of been poles at least I could have hung my towels on something :o :o
