You could have warned me about the f**king spiders!!  :horror:  :scoot:  :peepsofa:

The first day of spring was a lovely morning, I made a cup of tea and took it with the mail outside to sit in the glorious morning sun. I opened and read my mail, then picked up my cup and filled my mouth with the lovely warm liquid.............. then felt something on my tongue that wasn't liquid. I spat it out, yes very un-lady like, I ran inside and washed my mouth out and brushed my teeth. I returned to my spot in the sun, and looked in the grass to see what it was.........yes, Simon, it was a f*#ing spider.   :horror:

We had a monster of one on the lounge wall a few days ago.  I pick them up in a duster and throw them out in the garden.  I used to pick them up with my hands until one got nasty and bit me leaving me in considerable pain and two fang marks!  :o

You're a brave man to pick them up with bare hands, some can give you very nasty bites. You wouldn't want to do it here with certain spiders.  :o

Oh I would not have been brave enough to do that in Australia!   :o  Our spiders are more tame than yours!   ;D

I'm afraid I just can't go near them, unless armed with something heavy and pliable.  I did once manage to open a window, to try to let one out, and the ba$tard dropped onto the window sill, and ran up the curtains.  I still get palpitations thinking about it!  A slipper or a newspaper is the fate of any that dare to cross my path.  ;D

I'm with simon on this one.

I heard somewhere that a person is never more than three feet from a spider. I had a brown recluse run across my desk the other day. Scared the crap out of me. I wacked him with a dvd about 3 times before he finally stopped moving.
