Hubble Detects Unusual Object

Astronomers working on the Supernova Cosmology Project have recently discovered an object that they can not explain:

It's reassuring to be reminded that there's still so much we don't understand.

I always find that the more you learn about something then the more you realise how little you really do know about it  ???

PCs are a wonderful example of my theory  ;D

Let's not be too hasty to rule out the cock-up theory first!   :D

Personally, I like the UFO theory. Which includes all flying objects, insects on the lens and so forth. But the cock-up theory is good, if not a little sexist.  ;)   ;D

Thanks for that Rik, it was quite interesting. I just had a listen to the call Peacocks make, as I'm sure I've heard up here a few years ago.
I really upset Nemo with it, I swear all animals can understand each other.

Peacocks are amazingly raucous compared to their appearance. Somehow, they should have a delicate, lyrical, call.
