Hi all. I have a virus of some sort on my pc...I have tried everything to get rid of this...It is a red X on the right hand side of my task bar that keeps asking me to install special antispyware tools b/c my pc is infected with spyware...I downloaded ultimate boot disk for windows, built the .iso and then booted the cd from startup...then I ran multiple programs to eliminate any threats...Even though it found a few vulnerabilities the virus itself is still present, any suggestions? I really want this gone...thx

You could try SuperAntiSpyware (http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html), or MalwareBytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org/), both of which offer free versions. It sounds like you have a derivative of SpyAxe, which is a rogue spyware removal app, and if neither of the above work, I have a specific SpyAxe removal tool which you could try, if you want to PM me an email address to send it to (if different to the one in your profile).
