Title: Google Toolbar's eighth birthday
Post by: Clive on October 30, 2008, 15:15
Happy birthday wishes to the Google Toolbar, which is eight years old today.

Google is marking the occasion by launching a new version of the toolbar for Internet Explorer.

Though Google Toolbar 5 was available in beta since last November, it is now a full version. A version of Google Toolbar 5 is available for Firefox but is still in beta.

Google Toolbar 5 will allow you to add gadgets to your toolbar and synchronise settings online so you can access your toolbar from whichever computer you're using, wherever you are.

"Over the years, we've been proud to see several of the features we've pioneered integrated into web browsers as well as other websites. We're encouraged by this progress, but this doesn't mean that our mission is complete," said Albert Bodenhamer of Google.

Not until Google rules the world, it isn't!
