Title: Greetings card website launched
Post by: Clive on November 04, 2008, 16:50
A greetings card site that lets you create your own personalised cards from photographs and offers next-day delivery in the UK, has launched.

As the name implies Touchnotes are personal ways to keep in touch with family and friends.

You can create cards and add personal messages, and you can choose whether to print them out and send them or have them delivered using Touchnote's service.

Touchnote is similar to existing card websites such as Moonpig, which also lets people create and send cards. First impressions are that Touchnote is a simple and easy-to-use service.

Touchnote's most basic offer, at £1.99 for each card, is £1 cheaper than Moonpigs. Prices exclude postage costs, and both sides offer customers the alternative of sending cards on to their recipent or back to you.

"Touchnote is all about sharing moments and memories in people's lives, using their own digital photos to create a more personal greetings card," said Raam Thakrar, co-founder of Touchnote.

Why would you pay for something like that if you have a PC and a printer ?
There are lots of programs that will do similar things and they are easy to use.

Would you get the same quality Sandra?  And given the cost of printer cartridges, would it be more expensive?   :dunno:

You can get lots of different types of printable card now Clive and the quality shouldnt be a problem. I have been teaching a chap, who is now in his 80s, how to do such things on his pc. He makes all sorts of cards and calendars for his friends and family.
