Surely they'd have to catch them first anyway!

Catching them is not as hard as it used to be

I heard on the news some one is going to adopt 30,000 of them

The big problem is they went so long with some organizations feeding them that the population out grew the ability of the natural landscape to feed them

So now they are starving and dieing  and deseases
Plus they now are roaming into cattle owners pastures and eating whats there and causing the cattle to do without

They do catch a bunch and have prisons train them  but not enough to help

In Australia they shoot wild horses, which we call Brumbies, from helicopters. The areas that they have to cover is so vast, that it's the only way. I don't agree with it, it sickens me.
The culling/slaughter of any animal sickens me.

Culling is a nasty business
But if the heards are allowed to get so big that they dont have food to eat it does become the more humane way

It sometimes takes weeks for a horse to starve to death I would rather outright shoot it than watch that happen

Here during drought and bad winters there sometimes is just not enough water or food for them many starve to death or die of thirst and since their natural preditors are not enough in numbers to cure the problem then culling the heard is the more humane way

Maybe its time we humanely culled those human populations that have bred too many people to be able to support themselves without billions of pounds and dollars in aid from the west, which then only goes to the corrupt officials and rulers of those countries and not to the people its really intended to help.
I think its very cruel to let them die slowly from, hunger, thirst and diseases. It may also stop them fighting each other and blowing people up.
Pakistan, India and lots of African countries come to mind  :dunno:

I refuse to say anything about that
With my luck I would be considered an anti-social sociopath and be locked up

Perhaps we should start pruning the numbers in our own countries first. What about the people that put such a strain on welfare and health systems, the homeless, junkies, criminals, dole bludgers, the obese, people with HIV and Aids, homosexuals, immigrants (well, those who don't offer anything useful), the sick and people with disabilities. Oh, and the very ugly.
