Title: Unable to open flv file in Nero Vision.
Post by: mistybear on January 17, 2009, 11:54
I have downloaded a series of files (25) from Youtube, and I'm trying to burn them to DVD using Nero vision. But when I tried to add one of the files, all of them being flv, it said that Nero Vision couldn't open it?

I can't see any difference in this file compared to the rest. They are a series posted by the same person. I don't know why it won't open, and there isn't an explanation as to why it won't.  :dunno:

The only thing I can think of is that the file is somehow corrupt.  Have you tried downloading it again?

No I hadn't, Simon. I'll try it again, I had played it and it seemed fine, but will download it again.

One more question.

In Nero Vision, after you have added all of the files and move onto Edit Menu. I usually have episodes of a series, 24 minutes through to 59 minutes, but with this one, being from Youtube, they are 10 minutes and under sections of the main program.

How do I edit the menu so they are edited together?

Doesnt it ask you, when you click next after its added the files, if you want them to be combined into one large file or kept as seperate ones ?

I haven't seen that, Sandra.  :dunno:

But I have just played the beginning of each of them, and it states that they are all Chapter one. Does that mean that they will play one after the other when burned to DVD?

They should do but you have to make sure they are in the correct order, possibly by renaming each one so that nero knows which order to use.
If you have less than 9 files then numbering 1-9 is fine, however if you have 10 or more files you need to number them as 01, 02, 03 etc or else it would follow track 1 by track 10.
