Surfers are warned to move quickly to install a number of security updates issued by Microsoft this week.
Nineteen vulnerabilities in Microsoft's operating systems and other software are fixed by the latest batch of updates, which are released on the second Tuesday of each month.
Among the 'Patch Tuesday' fixes are several patches for Windows XP.
If you have Automatic Updates installed, the updates will be downloaded and installed without requiring any intervention but otherwise you should visit the Windows Update website as soon as possible

Deep joy.

Judging on how many updates have been issued for XP, it must now be nothing like the original system as written. Must be more like a patchwork quilt!
