Title: Windows 7 Pros and Cons
Post by: Simon on October 23, 2009, 19:22
The BBC's Jason Palmer gets hands-on experience to test out the good and bad points of Microsoft's new operating system.

Windows 7 is designed to operate more speedily than its predecessor, Vista.

It also incorporates touch screen technology and several new features.

Oh, I wouldn't bother with a touch screen - I can imagine it being extremely frustrating to use, and a nightmare to keep clean. (http://theslurps.com/)  :)

But its media applications remain primitive, unfortunately.  Were it otherwise, I'd have Ubuntu on my pooter like a shot.

Windows 7 might perform well in its early days, but I wonder how fast it will be in six months after users have loaded it with software and M$ has stuffed it with patches.  I'm going to stick with the devil I know for the time being.
