If you're of the opinion that the Large Hadron Collider – which just became the most powerful supercollider ever built by humans on Monday – will ultimately triumph in its quest to find the Higgs boson, you might be able to make a few bucks. If you're wrong, well, you might lose a few, too. That's right, along with betting on the elections, Academy Awards, and the snowfall in New York, the discovery of the Higgs boson is a tradeable commodity.

There will be a lot of religous people who wont be happy though Clive ;D
That reminds me, I was listening to the radio early this morning and they were interviewing that odius woman, Shirley Phelps Roper.
What a dangerous and nasty group of people she belongs to :o
During the interview she was asked how old the earth was and she insisted that it was 6,000 years old as it says in the bible ;D
When asked why her god let so many young children die in the 3rd world countries she said it was because they and the people had sinned ::)
Listening to her made me thank god that I am an atheist ;D

yeah the 6,000 years thing is just stupid... and I can't believe people fixate on that - look you have lost that battle shut up and move on, it just means the guy who wrote that part of the bible can't count.
