  :ack: again......how do I fully uninstall this. My wife has it on her laptop even though she cant remember installing it.now she is getting some pop ad or something every time she starts up the laptop.I remember using it years ago,sorry  :blush: , and had bother getting rid.




why cant you put an  :ack: or anything in the subject bar

I don't know of a specific removal tool, but have you tried running CCleaner, Baz?  Make sure you do a registry backup first.

will that be after using the uninstall program from real player itself?

Oh, have you not done that yet?  Yes, it would.  Or you could try something like YourUninstaller! (http://www.ursoftware.com/), instead of using the normal uninstall utility.  I have used it myself, albeit an earlier version, and found it to be very good.

cheers Simon.I have Revo (http://www.revouninstaller.com/) but to be honest rarely use it.it seems good when I have so might try it on the lappy.

I've used it - it's good.  Never used it for Real Player, though.

got it done now.just used windoze remove progs,then some manual folders and registry deletion

Baz.  If you need to play RealMedia files, why not download Real Alternative? (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Real_Alternative.htm)  It will allow you to play RealMedia files without having to install RealPlayer/RealOne Player.

I'll just wait till mt wife needs  to plaay one again and get a new player.My self I use VLC  (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) player and its good enough for what I need.


That KM Player looks ok too Dave  :thumb:

It is Ive used it about 6 months now with no problems of playing any movie or anything else

I had to check to see if I had it installed, and I do, but I haven't seen it for ages, so it doesn't bother me.  You can 'train' it not to keep popping up with messages and s**t.
