Of the billions of stars in our Milky Way galaxy, 15 percent may host "twins" of our solar system, a new study says.

I would not be surprised.  But how many will have a PC-Pals?   ;D

We are unique in the Universe!   :woot:

Oh, I dunno...  I found another one of me on Facebook the other day.   ;)

How very careless of you, Rod. ;)

Calls to Israel are very expensive, Rod.

Thank goodness Schrodinger hasn't read this thread.  He'd never recover if he found out his cat could be in two places simultaneously.

Probably just as well.  You can't get a good quantum mechanic round here for love nor money.

And, if you do find one, he's booked solid for a fortnight. ;D

Yup, and they won't give you a time either, but expect you to wait in all bloody day!

They won't turn up anyway.  They'll have some sort of excuse about how the spare parts were supposed to be on the shelf but they were actually somewhere else at the time.

And where's my new cooker that was supposed to be delivered yesterday  :bawl: ?

I think he was quite aware of that - since that's also Quantum mechanics. His idea with the cat is a demonstration of other ideas, so as position / momentum uncertainty - where you can either no the velocity or position, thus the object can be at two places...

The cooker's just arrived :) !

Would somebody tell Mr Schrodinger to get his flipping cat out of my new oven?  The one under the grill isn't winning him any friends either.  And no, I'm not going to accept any arguments that it's not his cat because his is in a sealed box and it's dead anyway (if it isn't still alive).

The worrying thing, Gill, is that there's more where that one came from.
