Right then I'm thinking of going to see Avatar in the cinema so I wanna know, who's seen it? what's it like? and was it worth the £8 :dunno:
-
Sam's seen it. ;)

Yeah but, no but... he hasn't said what he thought about the actual film :hammer: forget about all the boys n toys techie stuff... was it exciting and worth the dosh :bubble:
-
I think Lona's seen it.
-
Yeah, but that was probably a pirate version, in 1½D. ;)
-

I didnt reckon much to the story Bev. The last 30 minutes or so were probably the best but I think it was too long.
I wouldnt bother seeing it again unless it was showing in 3D, as it was intended to be seen in.
-
I enjoyed the film overall. I think without the 3D it would be a bit pants as the story wasn't that great. Overall it wasn't the most fantastic sci-fi ever. I do think it was worth £8 of entertainment though.
-
How many tickets did you get for your £8? :dunno:
-
1.
-
:aarrgh: Last time I went to the cinema it cost me 2/6d. ;D
-
And that included hot dogs, ice-cream and a Kiaora. ;D
-
Kiaora always used to make me cough. It was like drinking battery acid!
-
I think it was battery acid. :)
-
-
Oh I loved the stuff! :D But we didn't have hot dogs in cinemas in my days. ;D
-
There's Welsh for you. ;)

:arf:
is that a welsh protest?
-
Well, I saw it and it was....
AWESOME!! :wahh:
If you are into sci-fi this is a definate must see film! It picks you up and 2.5hrs later let you go it's that good!
-
glad you enjoyed it. I'd have probably enjoyed it more if the animation hadn't made my better half feel ill.
-
I've just bought The Ship that Rocked for a fiver at Tesco. Hope it's worth the money!
-
I've just seen Star Trek on Bluray. Good film, but unfortunately, I fell asleep for about 20 minutes of it. Nice surprised to see the old Spock! :D

AT LAST!
The start of the film is just kick-ass. I've never know a Star Trek film to go into it so quickly. I very much enjoyed it.

It's one I would watch again, Sam, but the bit where the planet imploded nearly had the same effect on my sub-woofer! :o

lol.
Massive science error on that and Spock though. I know its sci-fi but come on... to see that happen in the quality he did he would have had to be about as close as the Moon is to the Earth
-
And presumably wouldn't have survived it himself. But hey, Vulkans are cool! \\ //

2-D Avatar To Be Pulled From Theaters In China
Avatar is being pulled from screens in China for being too successful, and too provocative in its anti-authoritarian message. (The 3-D and IMAX versions will remain.)
