Title: Brother MFC issues..
Post by: sharon159 on February 23, 2010, 01:23
I just recently got a new computer, Compaq, windows 7. My problem now is the printer will not scan or fax, I can copy or print off the internet.
Printer is MFC-490cw, anyone run into this problem and know what to do? Or do I need to buy a new one that is compatible with computer?
I did call the company, but had a hard time underdstanding what they were saying and gave up.
Thanks for any feedback..

Go here and follow the instructions to get the latest drivers and uninstall the original ones using their uninstall tool, also available from a link on that page :

Hopefully that will fix it  :)

At least you havent got the same problem that someone had when their mouse jammed their printer last week, see the attached picture  ;D
