Title: Download/Save to problem
Post by: Big_Boss on April 20, 2003, 10:46
Hi,

A few days ago i clicked a file and went to download and then save to, and i think i ticked/unticked a box by accident. Now when i click on links to zip files they download automatically without prompting me where to save it.

Quite a bad description but hopefully you can help me  :-\

Are you on Windows 98 or XP Big_Boss? Here is the procedure for 98 anyway ...

Open My Computer (or any other folder)

Click View | Folder Options

Click the File Types tab

Find the ZIP type in the Registered File types list.

Click the Edit button

Tick the Confirm open after download box

Press OK

I think it's similar in XP :)
