Title: Add / Remove Quickie
Post by: Simon on April 21, 2003, 10:11
I have a list of about 20 Windows XP Hotfixes (updates) in my Add / Remove Programs list, but no file sizes or other details.

Do these have to stay there, or is it safe to remove them to tidy up the list?

Hi, Simon.

If you have Regcleaner on your PC (Freeware available on the CNET Download site) the "Uninstall Menu" tab will allow you to remove them from the list without uninstalling the program/patch.  I use it all the time to keep my list tidy.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Dave.  I do have Reg Cleaner, and that worked a treat!  (https://www.pc-pals.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.apax34.dsl.pipex.com%2Fsmileys%2Fcheers.gif&hash=47bff789954d6c945713c9ff68b09be7aa1e1e13)
