Here you go Dave >> http://www.panicware.com/product_psfree.html

This is a new version, which IMO, isn't as good as the old version, but it will do the job.

Set it to Aggressive mode ... but you will have to remember to hold down the shift or CTRL key when clicking on links .....

but remember that Pals has NO pop-ups .... so you can disable it while you are browsing Pals    ... note Popup stopper affects the links on Pals and the extra smileys

The old version doesn't, which is why I haven't upgraded to the new one.   ;) 8)

The Opera browser comes with a popup killer built-in.

GO ON - YOU CAN ALL YAWN IF YOU WANT TO - I DON'T  MIND.

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

I use Popup Cop when I'm forced to use Internet Explorer.  It has a built-in Cookie Manager, plus loads of other tweaks, and will warn you if a site is trying to download anything to your PC.  It has to be registered after a trial period, but if I type the words "Google Groups", I'm sure you'll know what I mean!

Remember that there are security setting in MS IE. I use these "restrictions" for popups on some sites that I use. Works a treat.

Sometimes it doesn't allow small features of the website to work (javascript links I think), but thats no problem for me on these sites.

Handy if you don't want to clutter up your machine with 3rd party software... I prefer to have a clean a machine as possible!

That's a very useful tip Ketamininja.  I often think that a lot of utility software simply uses facilities which already exist in Windows or IE, but offer a more friendly interface to access them.

Thats true Clive.

They do what you can already do (most of the time). And they sometimes charge you for that!!

Also, remember that 3rd party will take up more resources.

Just noticed your bit under your Avatar   K   yes you have unfortunately to resize it and for some obscure reason it has to be exactly 100 x 100 not just smaller than that ;)

my avatar is something like 300x400 !! (which is usually resized on most forums - they ask for the size to resize)

Think I'll just resize tonight :o

I heard a whispa about Zero Pop Up (http://downloads.zdnet.co.uk/downloads/detail/1002-2144-10198624.html), which I'm using at the moment.  Seems to be very good, and allows the one's you want.  It's not free though.  *cough*   ;)
