Whether they contain spiritual secrets or mere mundane accounts of daily life, the ancient texts that today’s scholars just can’t seem to decipher could be keys to understanding civilizations that have long since passed from this world. Many of these 10 dead languages will never be understood, yet they live on as a cryptic reminder of the complexity not just of the world we live in but of our own history as a species.

They lurk among us Davy. ;D
I cant remember those languages
I was in another part of the world at the time so I guess I missed seeing them
-
I'm sure David Cameron was around for a few of these given the dinosaur politics he is issuing.
-
Glad I'm not the only one to think that!
-
Now now! He's only been in power a fortnight! ;D
-
He's screwed the country up already! :bawl:
-
I think Brown got there first. ;)
-
least we forget... this was all put into place 30 years... if not earlier before. We aren't suffering the effects of Gordon Brown... just the combination of everyone who has come before him.
-
Indeed. But Brown's easy to blame. ;D
-
fair enough, but I do wonder how many people voted conservative because they blamed brown and not the past...
-
Well, Brown was chancellor for 10 years prior to becoming PM, so I think he has a lot to answer for, but point taken, Sam.
-
I agree - I just find it hard to focus on one individual, especially when its a global problem.
-
Oh yes, it's a global issue, and we can't pin the whole blame on one person for all of it, but I don't think Brown has done the UK many favours recently. That said, he did save us from Blair going into the Euro otherwise we might have been in the same position as Greece!
